Solar Eclipse or Surya Grahan 2020 in Nepal. When and How they happen?

In the year 2020, the first solar eclipse will fall on June 21 Sunday. In this annular solar eclipse, Moon will cover Sun from the center leaving the outer rim visible like creating a ring of fire.

What is a solar eclipse?

When the Sun, Moon and the Earth are in the straight line and the moon comes between the sun and Earth, due to which the rays of the sun blocked from reaching the Earth, and darkness in the sky as if it is night time this period is known as Solar eclipse.

Where and when the solar eclipse will appear?

The solar eclipse of 2020(June 21) will start from 9:30 AM NST and will continue until 3;19 PM NST. But the maximum solar eclipse will take place at 12;25 NST. And the visible country for the solar eclipse in Asia, Africa, The Pacific, The Indian Ocean, different parts of Europe and Australia as well.

When the moon gets between the Earth and the Sun then the solar eclipse will occur. Because the moon is far from the Earth and small in size compared to Earth, the moon is not enough to cover the whole sun that's why the moon cast a shadow over Earth. One thing you might remember that the eclipse will start at one point and always end at another point.

Now if we are talking about Nepal the partial solar eclipse will visible about 85% coverage by the sun with Magnitude 0.8909 and the Duration will be 3hrs, 30min, 41sec on June 21 10:53:56 AM.

Maximum: June 21 at 12:41:03 PM  End at  Jun 21 at 2:24:37 PM

 The full solar eclipse at 10;32;45

Maximum Eclipse at 12;25;04

The time period of the obscuration of the sun by the Moon at the annular solar eclipse in Nepal is nearly about 98.6%. And the obscuration of the sun by the moon at the partial solar eclipse in Nepal is (75 to 95)% depending upon the place. When the new moon comes in between Earth and sun the solar eclipse will occur and the moon cast a shadow over the earth as I told you in the beginning. 

How to watch the solar eclipse?

Many of you don't know what the solar eclipse looks like and you are very excited to watch it, but you also know that it is not safe to watch the solar eclipse with your naked eyes because the rays of solar eclipse are too bright to see other and it may affect your eyes lens and maybe it damage our retina. So, if you want to look Solar eclipse then you must use protective substances like a telescope, binoculars, or special solar viewing glasses or filter glass.
